Shelly is a mover and a doer. Always finding an artistic project or physical challenge to dedicate her energies to. An original member of UNMATA, creator and creative director of Up In Smoke, and the lead of Theme Camp Gotalotgoinon.

Matthew grew up in a small town in Northern California. His journey started with poi in 2008. Matthew and friends formed the troupe Pyratechnics shortly after. The troupe performed regularly in the Northern California and Southern Oregon areas. Matthew was a principal teacher at Hot Pot Studios in Sacramento California.

Angelica captivates audiences with a blend of technique, sensual movement, and dynamic presence. She found dance in 2008 and trained in many styles, including traditional belly dance, tribal fusion, hula, and more. Angelica started practicing flow art and fire manipulation using many tools, and specializing in fire fans, in 2009.

Kat has been a member of “Up in Smoke” since 2016. She brings her knowledge of theater and dance to the group. During her time with the troupe she has taken up poi, fire fans, staff, double staff, and palm torches. Kat is a founding member of Camp Gotalotgoinon.

Hi! My name is Dill aka Dillosaurus aka The Real Dill aka Dillip aka The Real Trill Pickle. I am an advantageously blind movement enthusiast that enjoys short walks on the beach, the smell of old books, and spinning fire haphazardly for engaged audiences.

Hi! My name is Haylee! I started spinning not many moons ago, and consider myself a lifelong learner of flow. Love poi. Really love poi. I sleep with my poi under my pillow at night to appease the poi gods. Just kidding. Maybe.

Kayla is our behind the scenes all-star! She has been our fire safety lead and co-coordinator for 7 years. A very creative mind and a can do kind of soul makes Kayla part of the backbone of Up in Smoke.

Jadie is Up in Smoke’s newest member. With a crew of talented flow art mentors, fire safety gurus, and skilled dancers, Jadie is fully immersed in the Up in Smoke Family and we can’t wait to see what happens!
