Do you need a permit?

For private events and spaces it is up to the property owner if a permit is needed. In a public space a permit is required for the performance by the city. If a permit is required the host must obtain the permit. Up In Smoke can provide needed documents when needed.

Do you have insurance?

Yes, the troupe does hold fire performance insurance that covers them for performance.

Are there any in person classes provided?

The troupe has in person classes at events throughout the year and can be hired for in person private or group lessons.

Is there any open fire practice?

Fire practice is private and reserved for Up In Smoke. We can be hired as fire safety or hired to teach a safety class. We can also provide a safe fire location for private lessons for those individuals ready to light up their tools.
